
1. Only flat soled shoes or tennis shoes are permitted on the course. No heels of any kind or golf shoes are allowed.
2. Holes-in-one shall be circled on the scorecard and will be paid to all member couples with or without a handicap.
3. Please be aware of the following: a) Turn off all cell phones, b) Keep conversations to a minimum, c) Move quickly to the next hole, d) Be considerate of other couples putting, e) Do not leave the starting area until you have paired up with your playing partners.
4. Each couple shall play a single ball and alternate shots throughout the 18 holes played. On the first hole, either member of the couple may start play, but all following shots will be alternated between the couple, including tee shots.
5. The first couple listed on the scorecard shall start the first 9 holes and the second couple shall start the final 9 holes.
6.The first couple listed on the scorecard shall be responsible to record both couples score.
7. No more than two couples shall be listed on a scorecard unless an odd number of couples have signed up to play, in this instance a six-some will be formed so that no couple putts alone.
8. After completing the 18 holes, the first couple shall total the scores and sign and date the card. The second couple shall check and attest to the accuracy by also signing the card. Regarding scorecards: Incorrect scorecards not properly attested or added will result in disqualification of both couples on the card. Once your scorecard has been added, attested and double checked by the other couple, do not delay turning in your completed scorecard to the starters
9. Start all putts between the white markers and putt with the flag in the hole. Place the ball on the ground; do not drop it to the ground. Do not move the tee markers.
10. When replacing the flag in the hole, verify that the hole number faces the group putting immediately behind you.
11. Both couples shall tee off before hitting the second shot. Any ball obstructing another couples ball on the path to the hole shall be marked.
12. If any ball is hit by another ball, the ball being hit shall be replaced to it’s original position, with no penalty. The ball hitting the first ball shall be played where it lies.
13. Any ball, whether in the rough or on the putting surface, must be played where it lies.
14. Any ball landing in the planter/dirt area, rough bordered by a plastic border, or landing on the cement border shall be considered out of bounds and shall be played within one club length from where the ball entered said hazard, no closer to the hole and will incur a one stroke penalty. The person that did not hit the out of bounds shot will play the next shot.
15. HOLES 3 & 4: On hole 3 hitting down the slope, there is a steep drop off on the left with lots of rocks. If you hit the ball down onto the rocks or into the water, you get a 1 stroke penalty and a club length from the spot where it entered the water. If it doesn’t go in the water you play it from where it lies. If you do not want to go down the slope take a 2 stroke penalty and place a new ball where it left the fairway. You are now hitting 4 or you can take a maximum of 6 strokes
On hole 4 before the first turn there is a steep downgrade. If you hit the ball down the slope and it goes into the water, you get a 1 stroke penalty and a club length from the spot it entered the water. If it doesn’t go in the water you must play from where the ball lies. If you do not want to go down the slope take a 2 stroke penalty and place a new ball where it left the fairway. You are now hitting 4 or you can take a maximum of 7 strokes.
16. All putts must be putted out. No Gimmies!
17.The maximum number of putts on any hole shall be par plus 3 strokes. To help speed up play, please stop putting and record three over par for that hole.
18.When recording your score, please step away from the hole just completed so the group putting directly behind you may commence putting.
19. When practicing before the actual putting competition has begun, please use only one ball so that everyone gets a fair chance to practice.
